The infamous Midget mansion in San Antonio Texas

When I was a kid my uncles told stories of their adventures when they went to what was left of the Midget mansion in the early 80s.

The Midget Mansion story:

A house built in the 1900s by a wealthy man of smaller statue built the place for his wife and his two children. Murdered his wife and kids. No longer the location and some say its where the new Lowes building is by Callaghan. The location was condemned and torned down in the early 80-90s. Although the location seems to vary but another source has told me that the mansion that once stood was burned to the ground and an apt complex sits on the very property.  According to my source the apartment complex had a high turn over .

Although just stories, there isn't much record of a wealthy little person with family living on the property. Some have suggested what people had seen on the front was a small statute and people at that time made an assumption that little people lived there. In the early 1900 it was popular to see a small statue (jockey) in front of these wealthy homes. This may be where the legend got its going that little people once lived there.

What was for sure is that the location was a beautiful historic building which fell under hard times.

In the early 80s it was said when the building was abandoned that satanic rituals would take place there. Not confirmed but there were many people who trespassed within the property which at the time was owned.

Bullis House Inn haunted

The Bullis house Inn which was built in 1906 is located by Government hill near the Old Pearl Brewery. According to many years back after talking to one of the Inn keepers an Indian Chief spirit roams the second floor.

Geronimo was help capture in the Bullis grounds. In the back of the old Bullis House there is an old building that was a make shift jail to house prisoners.

After passing by a few days ago I am not sure if the Inn is still in operation from what it seems. I will be by sometime to look. It would be a shame if the building shared the same fate as many surrounding buildings within that neighborhood as it seems like a long forgotten part of San Antonio.

Santa Muerte also known as Saint Death

Interesting story that ran a few or so weeks ago on KSAT news on a saint that derives from Mexico. Santa Muerte has been associated as the narco god that protects them from other rivals and the law.

Whats interesting is that people are looking at the Santa Muerte in conjunction with the Catholic faith. Just to reference the Catholic church has no association with the saint or promotes it.

Santa Muerte steams from the old beliefs from the Aztec gods and has been combined with Catholic beliefs of praying to Saints for interventions. She is described similar to what the Virgin de Guadualupe in the robes standing on the world with the moon casted on the bottom.

Day of the Dead has been associated with the Santa Muete Saint which from research has shown where the saint was created from.

Is Santa Muerte evil? It depends who you ask. Those who believe in the Saint say that she protects those who ask for her help. The Santa Muerte comes in different colors depending on what cause or offering you are requesting. She comes in a red, blue, black, gold, and green. Each has its own meaning.

Sparkman in San Antonio Texas

I recently read an interesting thread on the San Antonio Board about a legend which took place in the 1980s. This is the first I have heard of this urban legend but according to the board, Sparkman was apparently a demon entity that roam that locatio at the San Antonio Produce Terminal Market. I use to go many times to buy potatoes for my uncles business but is the first I have heard of this story. I hope there are people who can shed light on this legend.

Anyway here is the thread I got it from Sparkman devil
